You Are Such a Blessing to Me Card

Here's a very simple card that we made at June's Stamp-A-Stack Class.  I used the following Stampin' UP! supplies:
Stamp Set: Blessings from Heaven
Card Stock: Whisper White, Primrose Petals, Raspberry Ripple, Summer Starfruit, Midnight Muse, and Gumball Green
Accessories:  Fancy Fan Embossing Folder, Elegant Butterfly Punch, Large Oval Punch, and Basic Pearl Jewels.

This is an easy inexpensive card that will take you minutes to make!
Blessings from Heaven Stamp Set is only $11.95 and comes with 6 sayings so that is less that 2 bucks apiece-item #123052.
Whisper White card stock is $8.50 for 40 sheets-item #100730.
The remaining colors are the new 2012-2014 In Colors that come in a package of 20 sheets for $6.95. If you order the matching Classic Stamp pads you can get a package of card stock free-item #126835. That purchase is $29.95.
The Basic Pearl Jewels-item #119247 is $4.95 for 150 pearls in 3 different sizes.

The stamp set, punches and embossing folder are all items that you will purchase only one time and will use over and over again. I like to call them non-consumables as opposed to the above items which are used up over time.
Elegant Butterfly punch is only $15.95-item #127526.
Large Oval punch is only $15.95 item #119855.
NEW Fancy Fan Embossing Folder is $7.95-item #127571.

Click here to order any items that you need from Stampin' UP! site and anytime you wish.

For any $50 (before shipping and tax) online order placed in the month of JULY, your name will go into a drawing for a package of Basic Pearl Jewels!  I will have the drawing on August 1, 2012!

My next Stamp-A-Stack Classes will be on Thursday, July 19, 2012, either at 9:30 AM or at 6:30 PM. Contact me by email at 4UIPRAY@COX.NET to get more information if you are interested in attending.

Thank you - Fresh Cuts

This is a little Thank you card and envelope that I copied off another demonstrator I saw on YouTube, I promise to share her name with you later.  This Stamp set is one of my favorite and isn't available any longer.  Sorry.  We made 2 of these at the class I taught today.  It was so much fun.  By the way, you can use any stamp set that has flowers, leaves and a 'thank you' message.

You need the following supplies to make some of these cards:

Card Stock:  Daffodil Delight, Island Indigo and Whisper White
Ink Pads:  Daffodil Delight, Island Indigo
Accessories:  Simply Scored Scoring Tool  122334, Simpy Scored Place Markers 125625 and the new Simply Scored Scoring Diagonal Plate 125586, The Big Shot, Top Note Diez, Cutting Pads, Paper Snips 103579, Bone Folder 102300

The thing I love about this card is once you have your tools for making this card you can go back and recreate it over and over.  But that's what making your own cards is all about, isn't it?  So simple, too.

Please, leave a comment because I love feedback.

Have a lovely day,

Gayle

Cheerful Treat - 'happy birthday'

Here's a card that I made up for my class tomorrow.  It's made with Designer Series Paper that was called "Cheerful Treat" which is a hostess gift choice from our current catalog.  If you want to earn  a package for free have your own catalog party and get it before it goes away.  I was surfing the internet and found this idea on YouTube.  I will have to go back and add the name of the demonstrator later.  It's a pocket card.  It is meant to be given to the recipient in person instead of being mailed.

Stamp Set:  Teeny Tiny Wishes 115370
Card Stock:  Cheerful Treat DSP, Melon Mambo 115320, Bashful Blue 105120, Natural Whites 102316 and Whisper White 100730
Ink:  Concord Crush (In Color, soon to be unavailable).
Accessories:  Decorative Label 120907, Small Oval (unavailable), Ticket Corner 119867 (soon to be unavailable), Boho Blossoms (unavailable), White Satin Ribbon 114616, Basic Pearls 119247, Stampin' Dimensionals 104430, Stampin' UP mini glue dots 103683 and Sponge Daubers (12) 102892

I am sorry about using so many tools that are now unavailable, I guess I didn't realize that several of them were.  This is why you need to order the things you want while they are still in the current catalog because once they are gone, well, they're gone.  Go here to place your order for the supplies to make this card.

Thanks for dropping by my blog.  Leave a comment to tell me what you think about this share.

Have a wonderful day,

Gayle

Uncharted Territory - Happy Graduation

Here's the Happy Graduation card I came up with and, "Yes, it is a guy card."   The stamp set used is Uncharted Territory.  It has so many possibilities.  It could be a Happy Father's Day card.  I really don't want this one to go away but it is not going to be in the new annual catalog coming out on June 1st.  I am sure they will have another even prettier set for us to use!  The idea for this card comes from a Stampin' UP demonstrator's site: www.jillstamps.com  The technique used is called the twisted easel card!  Shop HERE for the Stampin' UP! supplies you need and those that will no longer be available soon.

This is my first time to make an angle card like this.  This was my first opportunity to do it.  You have to have something on the card to hold it when you fold it to make it stand up.like I have with the Happy Graduation sentiment!  I used 4 layers of card stock.

On the back of the card I stamped another sentiment on Whisper White card stock.  That was a little unusual but I wanted to include one and that was the only place left.  All surfaces covered, I guess!  I will add some more embellishments to give it some bling! Twine or eyelets?
I added something.  Do you see it?  Does it make much difference?  A finishing touch, maybe?

Stamp Sets: Uncharted Territory, Teeny Tiny Wishes and Word Play
Card Stock:  Watercolor Paper, Not Quite Navy, The Write Stuff DSP (not available) & Whisper White
Ink:  Jet Black Stazon Ink Pad, Not Quite Navy Marker & Pad, Ruby Red Pad & Watercolor Pencils
Accessories:  Blender Pens, Sponge Daubers

Leave a comment and let me know what you think about this card.  I have a Stamp-A-Stack Class coming up on Saturday, May 12 and this will be one of the cards we will be making.  Email me at 4UIPRAY@COX.NET to let me know if you plan to attend.  For 8 cards total the cost is only $17.00.  That is a very good deal because with the exception of adhesive, I supply all you need to complete the cards  including envelopes..

"Know that the Lord is God. It is he who made us and we are his..." Psalm 100:3

I will see you soon!

Thanks-Your Kindness Matters

Hi Everyone,

Today I am making several little Thank You cards.  I have some lovely friends who gave me birthday gifts last Friday night and I must thank them.  Why?  Because it's the right thing to do.  Yes, I could send them an email saying 'thanks' but that is so impersonal.  So here goes.  I will be back in a little bit to show you one of the cards I come up with.

Ta-da:  I love both the Kindness Matters and I {Heart} Hearts stamp sets. There are so many ways you can use the I {Heart} Hearts set, for friendship, appreciation, thank you and of course, Valentine cards!  I am really going to miss this card.  Be sure to order your I {Heart} Hearts set before it goes away in May.  Kindness Matters will be here for another year. Yea!

Card Stock:  Pear Pizazz, Very Vanilla, First Edition Specialty, Melon Mambo DSP
Inks:  Pumpkin Pie Marker, Rich Razzleberry Marker, Crumb Cake Ink Pad
Stamp Sets:  I {Heart} Hearts and Kindness Matters
Accessories:  Full Heart Punch, Eyelet Border Punch, (Friends)Texture Plate (not a current item).
NOTE:  The 3 above items that are listed in bold print will no longer be available after May 30, 2012.  Order them now while you can.  Click HERE to order exclusive Stampin' UP! supplies.

Announcing my Stamp Sets Sale at 30 % off! NOW 40% off!
In the meantime, here is a list of stamp sets I am selling at a discount.  The second price listed is the sale price.  If you need me to mail these to you, I will have to add on shipping and it will have to be pre-paid before I can mail the stamp sets.  This is my sale, not a promotion by Stampin' UP! The ones that have a line marked through them are unavailable.
Let me know which stamp sets you'd like to get while I have them because the will go quickly!  You may leave a comment, with your email address and I will contact you with the total of your order. You may pick them up or I will ship them. I will have to add shipping charges and payment must be received in full before I will ship the stamp sets.  Thanks for looking.

Wonderful Mother - Mother's Day Card

Mother's Day is about a month away and that means it's time to make your mom a card.  I think the one I came up with is one just about any mother would like to receive.  What do you think?
I have to give credit to another Stampin" UP! demonstrator, Mary Brown for the idea.  I changed a few things on it, the stamp set, Wonderful is no longer available but it just happens to be one of my favorite ones.  The other reason I have for using it is because  my friends and customers who attend my Stamp-A-Stack Class on Saturday will make this card for the wonderful mother, sisters, aunts, cousins, friends of their choice.  Even in-laws if they choose.

Stamp Sets:  Mixed Bunch  (#125535 wood) or (#125537 clear),  Wonderful / Favorite

Ink Pads:  VersaMark (#102283), Blushing Bride

Card Stock:  Whisper White, Blushing Bride, Twitterpated Designer Series Paper (#125406)

Accessories:  Blossom Punch (#125603), Twitterpated Designer Buttons (#125579),  White Stampin' Emboss Powder (#109132), The Heat Tool (#100005)

The items listed in bold and italicized letters will not be available after April 30, 2012 so if you are in need of them click here go shop during the next 19 days. Don't wait until its too late.

If you live in the south Oklahoma City area and want to attend my Stamp-A-Stack Class on Saturday April 14 at 1 PM email me at 4uipray@cox.net for more details.  Hurry, the deadline to make reservations is Friday at 10 AM.  You will get to make 8 cards plus a bonus one, envelopes are included.  It will last about 3 hours and check my blog tomorrow afternoon and to see another card that you will get to make if you attend Saturday's class.

That's all folks.  Have a great evening.

Gayle

Elements of Style - Life is a matter of moments.

I promised to show off a card using the Elements of Style stamp set again and here it is:
I designed this card for one of my Stamp-A-Stack classes. More about that later.

Stamp Set:  Elements of Style
Ink:  Soft Suede Classic Pad
Card Stock:  Baja Breeze, Soft Suede, First Edition Specialty DSP and Pumpkin Pie DSP.
Accessories: Large Oval Punch (#119855), Bird Builder Punch (#117191), Sponge Daubers (#102892), 1/4" Very Vanilla Grosgrain Ribbon, Stampin' Dimensionals (#104430), Top Note Bigz Die (#113463), and finally, Basic Pearls (#119247).

This card is a little bit more difficult, simply because it has more layers.  I duplicated it by adding sponging to the Top Note and Oval shapes.  Here's a photo of that card.

It adds a finishing touch to the card, don't you think?

If you live in Oklahoma City and want to attend my upcoming Stamp-A-Stack Class on April 14, '12, I'd love to have you come.  I supply all the materials,  except adhesive and you get to make 8 cards for 16.00.  That includes envelopes, too.  You must prepay so email me at 4uipray@cox.net for my address.  It is scheduled for Saturday evening 7 to 9:30 PM!  Hope to see you here!

Please, leave a comment.

Have a great day!  Gayle

Element Of Style-#2

Here's a card that is almost the same as the last one I posted.  It has the edges smudged with ink.  Can you see it?  Both of them have the Soft Suede card stock distressed.  Two simple little additions to give the card more texture.

This card can be for a friend, a different sentiment can be added to make it good of many different occasions.  Birthday, Sympathy or Get Well.  The endless uses of the stamp sets make stampin' a fun and economical hobby.

Leave a comment and ask me any questions relating to Stampin' UP that you might have.

Don't forget to contact me about the Stamp-A-Stack class next Saturday evening.  Email me for more details at u4ipray@cox.net.

Thanks for dropping by.  Gayle

Elements of Style - 'for you'

Hi 'all,

Today I am sharing a card that is so simple and easy.  It's a friendship card that you might want to send to that friend that is extra special.  You know, the one that always goes the extra mile to help others feel better.
Here's what you need to make this card:
Stamp Sets:  Elements of Style (#118611) wood or (#120045) clear
Ink Pads:  Rich Razzleberry (#115658)
Card stock:  Rich Razzleberry, Very Vanilla
Accessories:  Curly Label Punch (#119851), 1"Circle Punch (#119868)

My tip for today:  The larger the stamp (like the stem of roses in this set) the more pressure you will use to get a more perfect image.  The smaller the stamp (like the 'for you' sentiment the less pressure you will need).  Remember, you should not rock the stamp or you will smudge or get extra ink on your image.

Enjoy!  I'll be back soon to share another card using this same stamp set but with a different layout!

Blessings, Gayle

Pretty Postage - thanks, thanks, thanks

Don't you agree that you can never get too many thank you cards?  I know I send out quite a few over time.  This is another extra easy card.

You may be saying, Didn't I see this card already? Nope, but it is very much like the card I posted last evening.  The only differences are the stamp used and the card stock colors.  The black strip is narrower, also.

I used Cherry Cobbler, Basic Black, Taken with Teal, Basic Gray and Whisper White.

The ink matches the card stock colors.  The stamp was colored with the Stampin' Write markers.  Just makes it a little bit more interesting, don't you think?

I forgot to mention the Textured Impressions Embossing Folder I used, it is Square Lattice (#119976) and both cards have Stampin' Dimensionals under the top layer to pop it up.  The square punch is not Stampin' UP.

I promise my next cards will be more exciting, come back and see 'em.

Have a great day!   Tootle-lute!

Gayle

Pretty Postage-HAPPY BIRTHDAY

Hello Everyone,

I am sharing a little card I made to send my grandson!  It has been a while since I made it but I wanted to share it because it is so quick and easy to make.

Here's the supplies you need to make this little card:

Card stock:  Pumpkin Pie, Rich Razzleberry, Taken with Teal, Sahara Sand and Whisper White (all but the first one listed were scraps that I had on hand.)
Stamp Set:  Pretty Postage (#123095) wood or (#123097) clear mount
Ink Pad:  Taken with Teal (no longer available)-I loved this color.
Accessories:  Paper Piercing Tool (#116631), Mat Pack (#105826), Curly Label Punch (#119851), Postage Stamp Punch (#122344)

The only thing I needed to do to finish this card was to stamp a birthday sentiment on the inside and sign it.  I mailed Skyler's card even though I live in the same city as he does. There's something special about getting your very own birthday card in the mail instead of having it handed to you.  Don't you agree?

You have a great day!  Thanks for stopping by.
Gayle

Apothecary Art--Happiest Birthday

Well, I got busy and made another card with my Stampin' UP! supplies.  I love how making a card makes me feel artistic.  No, I can't paint a landscape but I can stamp some ink on a piece of paper.  I can even use a marker and blender pen to color my flowers as you will see on today's card but that's about as good as it gets.  Having said that, here is my card for today!

I copied this card from our Stampin' UP! demonstrator's magazine.  It was really easy to make!

Here's the list of supplies you will need to make this card:

Stamp Sets:  Apothecary Art and On Your Birthday
Card Stock:  Baja Breeze, Whisper White & Twitterpated Designer Series Paper
Ink:  Jet Black StazOn Ink Pad, Red Riding Hood, Baja Breeze & Lucky Limeade Stampin' Write Markers
Accessories:  Blender Pens, Framelits Labels Collection and Baja Breeze Seam Binding Ribbon

Yes, there are some techniques to learn to do this card and if you live in the Oklahoma City metro area, maybe you can come to my TECHNIQUE CLASS coming up in April.  More information coming about that later.  Check back with me to get further details.

Any questions, contact me by email at 4uipray@cox.net  To shop for any of the supplies, click here then click on 'shop now'.

I look forward to sharing with you again soon.

Have an awesome day!

Happy Easter--Crosses of Hope

Happy Spring!!

Don't you love Springtime?  It's getting so nice and warm outdoors!  We just can't help ourselves as it gets warmer, can we?  There's so many things to do out there, too...trimming shrubs, planting our flowers, gardens or going for walks, etc.  Then it rains, like Monday and yesterday but only a little bit late today!  But you know what?  After the drought we had here in OKLAHOMA last year, I am so thankful for everyone of those raindrops we've received.

I have created my first Easter card of the 2012 Spring season.  It was pretty easy.  I used Mr. Big Shot 5 times to make it so he was getting his workout today.

Here's the recipe:
Stamp sets:  Crosses of Hope (#120567) & Easter Blossoms (not available)
Card Stock:  Naturals White, Twitterpated Designer Series Paper (#125406),  Blush Blossom (not available.)
Ink:  Jet Black StazOn (#101406), Black Ink Pad, Blush Blossom & Certainly Celery Stampin' Write Markers
Accessories:  Framelits Labels Collection (#125598), Framed Tulips Textured Embossing Folder (#121809), White Organza Ribbon (#114319), Basic Rhinestones (#119246), Dazzling Details (#124117) & Stampin' Dimensionals (#104430.)

This card has several accessories added to it to give it more dazzle.  Can you see the single big rhinestone and the glitter that is the Dazzling Details which is glue and glitter together in a bottle?  Put that on your wish list, it's a must have for your cards!  Don't you love this White Organza Ribbon, it is one of my favorite!

One more thing, I will be sharing how to make this easy bow at my next Techie Class.  Stay tuned to when I get out my schedule on my Stampin' UP! website.

Don't be bashful.  Leave a comment, okay?

Thanks for stopping by.

Have an awesome day!
Gayle

Bordering on Romance--Happy Birthday--More Photos

I am sharing the same card I did yesterday by posting 2 more photos of it:  1st of the outside, then of the inside of the card.  I hope you like this card even more!

On the inside, I did more stamping and coloring with the stamps listed on yesterday's post.  I think someone very special to me will receive this card!  Wonder who?!?

Remember, the Bordering on Romance stamp set is featured in the Occasions mini catalog and is only available through April 30, 2012.  You may click here to shop for all your Stampin' UP! products to make your own cards like this one.  The Happiest Birthday Wishes stamp set is in our 2011-2012 Idea Book & Catalog which will be in effect through May 31, 2012; it is a hostess gift that only hostesses can earn so set up your own 'Girls night out' and earn it for free, with me if you live in the Oklahoma City area!

Thanks for your visit.  Until next time,

Peace and Blessings, Gayle

Bordering on Romance - Happy Birthday

I have really stepped out of my comfort zone today making this card and I think you will agree, it is pretty!  I am so glad Stamping UP! makes available to us the exclusive tools and supplies that we can use to make something really pretty.

Fresh Vintage-Thank You Card

I needed a thank you card in a hurry so here's what I came up with in just a few minutes. One of my sister demonstrators did me a favor and I wanted to thank her appropriately so what else but make her a thank you card!!  I hope she will like it.

Stamp Sets:  Fresh Vintage (#125115 wood or #125117 clear) and Thank You Kindly (#111700)
Card Stock:  Very Vanilla, Everyday Enchantment Designer Series Paper & Lucky Limeade
Ink Pads or Markers: Pool Party, Lucky Limeade and Poppy Parade
Accessories:  Basic Pearls (#119247)

The technique is to color the stamp pad with the different colors and then huff on ink to re-moisten them right before you stamp the image.  Our Stampin' UP! markers are water based so they dry quickly.

The Fresh Vintage stamp set and the Everyday Enchantment Designer Series Paper are only available through the end of March as gifts for making the qualifying amount of orders.  Click here to purchase your supplies today!

The teeny tiny little pearls are the finishing touch, don't you think so?

See you again soon.
Have a blessed day,
Gayle

Mixed Bunch-Thinking of You Card

Hello,
I hope your Monday has treated you really good!  I can't believe this day is just about gone already!  I've been a busy, busy girl.  I have a cute, cute card to share with you this evening.  Here it is:
Isn't it cheerful?  The supplies needed to make it are:

Card Stock: Whisper White, Melon Mambo, Green Galore (not available), and Daffodil Delight.

Ink Pad: Melon Mambo

Stamp Sets:  Mixed Bunch (#125535 wood) or (#125537 clear) & Curly Cute (#117014 wood) or (#120510 clear)

Shimmer Paint (#116807) mixed with rubbing alcohol is what makes the flower shine!

Yes, I did copy a card in our Occasions mini catalog on page 16. I turned the card stock at an angle and scored it.  It's hard to tell with my picture.  The great news is that you don't have to do that anymore because Stampin' UP! has come out with The Simply Scored Diagonal Plate for only $11.95.  Click on the following link to see the video that tells all about it!   http://youtu.be/vkNFzMa1azw  The different uses for it are unlimited!  Mine is on it's way--I can't wait to get it!

Wouldn't you like to receive a card like this from someone that is 'thinking of you?'  I know I would.

Have a great day!  Gayle

The scripture for tonight is: "Overwhelming victory is ours through Christ who loved us enough to die for us."  Romans 8:37 (TLB)

P.S. I forgot to mention the 1 pearl. That's the finishing touch, don't you think?

Happiest Birthday Wishes-A Manly Card

Good Afternoon,  I hope you are doing well today.  It's Saturday so we have already went to our grandson, Skyler's soccer game.  His team won!  He is the goalie (guards the the goal) so we were especially proud when he prevented the other team from making points. First game of the new season, first win!  Yea! Yea!

Now, its time to share another card that I made a few days ago. I can't take credit for this idea, I found it on someone else's website and forgot her name but I will give her credit as soon as I find it.  My last Stamp-A-Stack class featured this card on Saturday. More about that later...

Card Stock:  Always Artichoke, Early Espresso and Naturals White
Ink Pads:   Always Artichoke and Early Espresso
Stamp Sets:  Lovely As a Tree, Happiest Birthday Wishes

Technique:  Water coloring with Aqua Painter (#103954), 2 in a package
or you may use the Blender Pens (#102845) as some of my friends that attended the Stamp-A-Stack class. I used the aqua painter because I preferred the colors to be a little lighter.

Accessories: Decorative Label Punch (#120907) & Stripes (#123128) Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.

The Stripes Textured Impressions Folder is free when you purchase $50 in Stampin' UP product through March 31, 2012. Don't miss out, place your order at my Stampin' UP website.http://www.gaylesstampinnook.stampinup.net

I hold the Stamp-A-Stack classes once a month here at my home.  You get to make 4 of 2 different designs that I supply you all the pre-cut materials for except adhesive.  The cost is only $16.  Includes envelopes, too!  Where else can you get a nice handmade card for $2?

Leave me a comment telling what you think about my card and I will see you again soon!

Here's a scripture for today:  Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, "This is the way, walk in it."  Isaiah 30:21

Have a great day!

Fresh Vintage 3/3/12

Hello and welcome to my new blog!  Today, I am starting to post all kinds of cards and things that I created using Stampin' UP! products (most generally).

Come often to see what I have created!  I think you will like it!

Here's today's creation:  It is made with the In Colors, Whisper White card stock, and Everyday Enchantment Designer Series Paper.  These are some of my favorites.   Poppy Parade is the color of the ribbon and the medallion. The card base in Blushing Bride, Pool Party is the color of the scalloped circle that is punched out.

Stamp Sets: Fresh Vintage (#125115) and On Your Birthday (#111664)

Ink Pads: Poppy Parade (#119782) & Pool Party (#122938)

This is the plain & simple version but I will add the advanced copy later.  Look for it!

Thanks for stopping by.  Have a great day!
