Pretty Postage - thanks, thanks, thanks

Don't you agree that you can never get too many thank you cards?  I know I send out quite a few over time.  This is another extra easy card.

You may be saying, Didn't I see this card already? Nope, but it is very much like the card I posted last evening.  The only differences are the stamp used and the card stock colors.  The black strip is narrower, also.

I used Cherry Cobbler, Basic Black, Taken with Teal, Basic Gray and Whisper White.

The ink matches the card stock colors.  The stamp was colored with the Stampin' Write markers.  Just makes it a little bit more interesting, don't you think?

I forgot to mention the Textured Impressions Embossing Folder I used, it is Square Lattice (#119976) and both cards have Stampin' Dimensionals under the top layer to pop it up.  The square punch is not Stampin' UP.

I promise my next cards will be more exciting, come back and see 'em.

Have a great day!   Tootle-lute!

Pretty Postage-HAPPY BIRTHDAY

Hello Everyone,

I am sharing a little card I made to send my grandson!  It has been a while since I made it but I wanted to share it because it is so quick and easy to make.

Here's the supplies you need to make this little card:

Card stock:  Pumpkin Pie, Rich Razzleberry, Taken with Teal, Sahara Sand and Whisper White (all but the first one listed were scraps that I had on hand.)
Stamp Set:  Pretty Postage (#123095) wood or (#123097) clear mount
Ink Pad:  Taken with Teal (no longer available)-I loved this color.
Accessories:  Paper Piercing Tool (#116631), Mat Pack (#105826), Curly Label Punch (#119851), Postage Stamp Punch (#122344)

The only thing I needed to do to finish this card was to stamp a birthday sentiment on the inside and sign it.  I mailed Skyler's card even though I live in the same city as he does. There's something special about getting your very own birthday card in the mail instead of having it handed to you.  Don't you agree?

You have a great day!  Thanks for stopping by.

Apothecary Art--Happiest Birthday

Well, I got busy and made another card with my Stampin' UP! supplies.  I love how making a card makes me feel artistic.  No, I can't paint a landscape but I can stamp some ink on a piece of paper.  I can even use a marker and blender pen to color my flowers as you will see on today's card but that's about as good as it gets.  Having said that, here is my card for today!

I copied this card from our Stampin' UP! demonstrator's magazine.  It was really easy to make!

Here's the list of supplies you will need to make this card:

Stamp Sets:  Apothecary Art and On Your Birthday
Card Stock:  Baja Breeze, Whisper White & Twitterpated Designer Series Paper
Ink:  Jet Black StazOn Ink Pad, Red Riding Hood, Baja Breeze & Lucky Limeade Stampin' Write Markers
Accessories:  Blender Pens, Framelits Labels Collection and Baja Breeze Seam Binding Ribbon

Yes, there are some techniques to learn to do this card and if you live in the Oklahoma City metro area, maybe you can come to my TECHNIQUE CLASS coming up in April.  More information coming about that later.  Check back with me to get further details.

Any questions, contact me by email at 4uipray@cox.net  To shop for any of the supplies, click here then click on 'shop now'.

I look forward to sharing with you again soon.

Have an awesome day!

Happy Easter--Crosses of Hope

Happy Spring!!

Don't you love Springtime?  It's getting so nice and warm outdoors!  We just can't help ourselves as it gets warmer, can we?  There's so many things to do out there, too...trimming shrubs, planting our flowers, gardens or going for walks, etc.  Then it rains, like Monday and yesterday but only a little bit late today!  But you know what?  After the drought we had here in OKLAHOMA last year, I am so thankful for everyone of those raindrops we've received.

I have created my first Easter card of the 2012 Spring season.  It was pretty easy.  I used Mr. Big Shot 5 times to make it so he was getting his workout today.

Here's the recipe:
Stamp sets:  Crosses of Hope (#120567) & Easter Blossoms (not available)
Card Stock:  Naturals White, Twitterpated Designer Series Paper (#125406),  Blush Blossom (not available.)
Ink:  Jet Black StazOn (#101406), Black Ink Pad, Blush Blossom & Certainly Celery Stampin' Write Markers
Accessories:  Framelits Labels Collection (#125598), Framed Tulips Textured Embossing Folder (#121809), White Organza Ribbon (#114319), Basic Rhinestones (#119246), Dazzling Details (#124117) & Stampin' Dimensionals (#104430.)

This card has several accessories added to it to give it more dazzle.  Can you see the single big rhinestone and the glitter that is the Dazzling Details which is glue and glitter together in a bottle?  Put that on your wish list, it's a must have for your cards!  Don't you love this White Organza Ribbon, it is one of my favorite!

One more thing, I will be sharing how to make this easy bow at my next Techie Class.  Stay tuned to when I get out my schedule on my Stampin' UP! website.

Don't be bashful.  Leave a comment, okay?

Thanks for stopping by.

Have an awesome day!

Bordering on Romance--Happy Birthday--More Photos

I am sharing the same card I did yesterday by posting 2 more photos of it:  1st of the outside, then of the inside of the card.  I hope you like this card even more!

On the inside, I did more stamping and coloring with the stamps listed on yesterday's post.  I think someone very special to me will receive this card!  Wonder who?!?

Remember, the Bordering on Romance stamp set is featured in the Occasions mini catalog and is only available through April 30, 2012.  You may click here to shop for all your Stampin' UP! products to make your own cards like this one.  The Happiest Birthday Wishes stamp set is in our 2011-2012 Idea Book & Catalog which will be in effect through May 31, 2012; it is a hostess gift that only hostesses can earn so set up your own 'Girls night out' and earn it for free, with me if you live in the Oklahoma City area!

Thanks for your visit.  Until next time,

Peace and Blessings, Gayle

Bordering on Romance - Happy Birthday

I have really stepped out of my comfort zone today making this card and I think you will agree, it is pretty!  I am so glad Stamping UP! makes available to us the exclusive tools and supplies that we can use to make something really pretty.
I used the following:

Card Stock:  Cajun Craze, Perfect Plum, Always Artichoke and Natural Whites
Ink Pads and Watercolor Wonder Crayons:  Jet Black StazOn, Basic Black, Cajun Craze, Garden Green & Elegant Eggplant
Stamp Sets:  Bordering on Romance and Happiest Birthday Wishes
Accessories:  Edgelits Adorning Accents (#125595), Textured Impressions Embossing Folders Adorning Accents (#125601), Blender Pens (#102845), Antique Brads (#117273), Stampin' Dimensionals (#104430), White Satin Ribbon (#114616) & the pearls are not Stampin' Up (I happened to have these on hand.)

This card is all about water coloring and I love it!  It makes the artist in me come out!  I was pleased how easy it came together once I knew I what I wanted to do. This is not as easy as the other cards I have shared but worth the effort.  Tell me what you think, okay?

Thank you for visiting, leave me a comment by clicking on 'comment' at the bottom of this post.

Have a grand day & my best regards.

Fresh Vintage-Thank You Card

I needed a thank you card in a hurry so here's what I came up with in just a few minutes. One of my sister demonstrators did me a favor and I wanted to thank her appropriately so what else but make her a thank you card!!  I hope she will like it.

Stamp Sets:  Fresh Vintage (#125115 wood or #125117 clear) and Thank You Kindly (#111700)
Card Stock:  Very Vanilla, Everyday Enchantment Designer Series Paper & Lucky Limeade
Ink Pads or Markers: Pool Party, Lucky Limeade and Poppy Parade
Accessories:  Basic Pearls (#119247)

The technique is to color the stamp pad with the different colors and then huff on ink to re-moisten them right before you stamp the image.  Our Stampin' UP! markers are water based so they dry quickly.

The Fresh Vintage stamp set and the Everyday Enchantment Designer Series Paper are only available through the end of March as gifts for making the qualifying amount of orders.  Click here to purchase your supplies today!

The teeny tiny little pearls are the finishing touch, don't you think so?

See you again soon.
Have a blessed day,
Gayle

Mixed Bunch-Thinking of You Card

Hello,
I hope your Monday has treated you really good!  I can't believe this day is just about gone already!  I've been a busy, busy girl.  I have a cute, cute card to share with you this evening.  Here it is:
Isn't it cheerful?  The supplies needed to make it are:

Card Stock: Whisper White, Melon Mambo, Green Galore (not available), and Daffodil Delight.

Ink Pad: Melon Mambo

Stamp Sets:  Mixed Bunch (#125535 wood) or (#125537 clear) & Curly Cute (#117014 wood) or (#120510 clear)

Shimmer Paint (#116807) mixed with rubbing alcohol is what makes the flower shine!

Yes, I did copy a card in our Occasions mini catalog on page 16. I turned the card stock at an angle and scored it.  It's hard to tell with my picture.  The great news is that you don't have to do that anymore because Stampin' UP! has come out with The Simply Scored Diagonal Plate for only $11.95.  Click on the following link to see the video that tells all about it!   http://youtu.be/vkNFzMa1azw  The different uses for it are unlimited!  Mine is on it's way--I can't wait to get it!

Wouldn't you like to receive a card like this from someone that is 'thinking of you?'  I know I would.

Have a great day!  Gayle

The scripture for tonight is: "Overwhelming victory is ours through Christ who loved us enough to die for us."  Romans 8:37 (TLB)

P.S. I forgot to mention the 1 pearl. That's the finishing touch, don't you think?

Happiest Birthday Wishes-A Manly Card

Good Afternoon,  I hope you are doing well today.  It's Saturday so we have already went to our grandson, Skyler's soccer game.  His team won!  He is the goalie (guards the the goal) so we were especially proud when he prevented the other team from making points. First game of the new season, first win!  Yea! Yea!

Now, its time to share another card that I made a few days ago. I can't take credit for this idea, I found it on someone else's website and forgot her name but I will give her credit as soon as I find it.  My last Stamp-A-Stack class featured this card on Saturday. More about that later...

Card Stock:  Always Artichoke, Early Espresso and Naturals White
Ink Pads:   Always Artichoke and Early Espresso
Stamp Sets:  Lovely As a Tree, Happiest Birthday Wishes

Technique:  Water coloring with Aqua Painter (#103954), 2 in a package
or you may use the Blender Pens (#102845) as some of my friends that attended the Stamp-A-Stack class. I used the aqua painter because I preferred the colors to be a little lighter.

Accessories: Decorative Label Punch (#120907) & Stripes (#123128) Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.

The Stripes Textured Impressions Folder is free when you purchase $50 in Stampin' UP product through March 31, 2012. Don't miss out, place your order at my Stampin' UP website.http://www.gaylesstampinnook.stampinup.net

I hold the Stamp-A-Stack classes once a month here at my home.  You get to make 4 of 2 different designs that I supply you all the pre-cut materials for except adhesive.  The cost is only $16.  Includes envelopes, too!  Where else can you get a nice handmade card for $2?

Leave me a comment telling what you think about my card and I will see you again soon!

Here's a scripture for today:  Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, "This is the way, walk in it."  Isaiah 30:21

Have a great day!

Fresh Vintage 3/3/12

Hello and welcome to my new blog!  Today, I am starting to post all kinds of cards and things that I created using Stampin' UP! products (most generally).

Come often to see what I have created!  I think you will like it!

Here's today's creation:  It is made with the In Colors, Whisper White card stock, and Everyday Enchantment Designer Series Paper.  These are some of my favorites.   Poppy Parade is the color of the ribbon and the medallion. The card base in Blushing Bride, Pool Party is the color of the scalloped circle that is punched out.

Stamp Sets: Fresh Vintage (#125115) and On Your Birthday (#111664)

Ink Pads: Poppy Parade (#119782) & Pool Party (#122938)

This is the plain & simple version but I will add the advanced copy later.  Look for it!

Thanks for stopping by.  Have a great day!
